What an incredible first day of Sodalis.

Thank You. 

From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Your support and enthusiasm for Sodalis fills my heart.  We have already made over 30% of our goal in 24 hours! 

Yesterday morning, I sat down and opened up kickstarter. The screen turned green (that startled me!) and a "Launch" button appeared. I stopped and meditated for a short while in front of this button, and was reminded of the way samurai would meditate quietly with their swords before a battle. 

But this is no battle. This is a gathering. This is a celebration of all of the good things we have in our lives, and the hope of making one more good thing together. 

I chose the name "Sodalis" because of the core experience I wanted players to have. Winning or losing, Champions in this game are designed to lift each other up and be more than the sum of their parts. I wanted each action taken to be important- making every choice a team decision. When you are on a team in Sodalis, you are your teammate's comrade, their intimate, their accomplice. There is little reward for selfishness in this game, and that is by design.

We have an active Tabletop Simulator Mod that is free to all! Play Sodalis with friends, or come join me in demos I'll be hosting throughout the month. 

I am arranging a tournament for the 16th of May! Teams of two will compete in a single-round Swiss Style (No-one is eliminated)  tournament. The prizes will be:

• Grand Prize: Two $50 Steam gift cards and a free copy of the physical game
• Second Place: Two $25 Steam gift cards and two Sodalis T-shirts
• Third Place: Two $10 Steam gift cards 

Th tournament will be held online via Tabletop Simulator on the Sodalis Discord Channel.

I go by the design philosophy "Nothing is Sacred." There is no point in this development where Sodalis is no longer capable of growth. You enjoying this game is paramount to me. If you have any feedback on design, gameplay, or anything else, please let me know!

This momentum is incredible, I am humbled by such a fantastic start. Kickstarter is a dynamic environment to launch a product with, and is infamous for projects quickly losing steam after the initial launch.
